How to create a link within a word document

The creation of a link (c.d. hypertext link) within a word document is a simple operation that does not require particular knowledges.

First of all, let's briefly explain what we mean by links.

This is a command within a document that is activated by going over it with the mouse.

Once you have gone through the cursor on the link by clicking with the left button you are directed to the corresponding web page.

To make this it is necessary to insert the link inside the document.

We explain how it is done.

Imagine writing a word text intended for publication within a website and at some point of wanting to insert a link that allows the user to be directed to another web page.

Nothing could be easier.

First of all, you must write in the text the word you want to link.

Once highlighted (just hold down the left mouse button and move the cursor over the word) simply scroll the function bar at the top in word word processing, click on Insert and then click on Hyperlink in the command menu.

At this point a window titled Insert hyperlink will open. In the string next to the address you will write the exact address of the web page (example www.augustobaldassari.it) to which you will postpone the link. Then you will need to click on OK and you're done.

As an alternative to the word to be inserted in the text, you can also proceed in the following way. First of all, position the cursor at the point on the page where you want to insert the link. Repeat the operation described above by clicking on Insert and then clicking on Hyperlink in the command menu. Inserted the address of the web page you will write in the string at the top of the word Text to display the word connected to the link. Then you will need to click OK and the link will be operational.
